Eugenia was born in Athens, Greece. Although she was a classically trained piano student throughout her childhood, her aim was always to compose. After graduating from high school, she pursued her dream in New York. In NYC she studied composition and orchestration with the composer Daron Hagen http://www.daronhagen.com/ as well as conducting with Vincent la Selva http://www.vincentlaselva.com/ and piano with Juliew Jordan http://juliejordanpresents.com/ at the Juilliard School. Four years later, she returned to Europe to further continue her studies with the Belgian composer and conductor Robert Janssens http://www.cebedem.be/en/composers/j/84-janssensrobert Being specialized in symphonic music, Eugenia's first album “Meanings and Symbols” was recorded in NYC. It presents her first attempt to express her musical vision of the most meaningful and symbolic myths of classical Greece, “an infinite source of inspiration”, as the composer believes and has often repeated since. A later recording of this album was released by Kunduru – Universal. For the next ten years (1998-2008) Eugenia kept on composing and performing music that was inspired by the history and mythology of ancient Greece. Here is a list of her works and concerts in brief.
